North London Youth Orchestra, in its third year, is a term-time orchestra for young musicians in Years 7 – 13, offering a unique opportunity to perform complete symphonic works with like-minded young musicians who share a passion for music-making. Our dedicated team of professional staff create a harmonious environment where young musicians can develop their skills and make friends along the way.

What We Offer
Weekly Rehearsals
Our weekly rehearsals take place at The Henrietta Barnett School on Wednesdays between 6.15 – 8.15pm. A typical evening will have a sectional coached and supervised by a professional coach, followed by tutti (whole orchestra) rehearsal.
Two Performances Annually: Winter and Summer Concerts
Concert dates for the 2026–27 season will be published shortly.
Programmes for NLYO concerts are varied and challenging. Members have around 10 rehearsals to prepare the repertoire for each concert. During sectionals, coaches work with players on their individual parts, while practice parts are available for members to study between rehearsals.
